The Division of Pediatric Neurosciences is seeking a full-time board eligible Pediatric Neuropsychologist to join our thriving division in Grand Rapids Michigan. The Neuropsychologist joining this practice will enjoy being part of a rapidly expanding childrens hospital and neurosciences program with Physician status and ample opportunities to work with medically complex pediatric populations. The Pediatric Neuropsychologist will also have opportunity to serve in various multidisciplinary clinics and play an integral role in program development including training programs.
The position will be in an outpatient practice serving patients from Helen DeVos Childrens Hospital (HDVCH) subspecialty clinics and the surrounding Michigan communities. The Neuropsychologist will complete neuropsychological evaluations for medically complex children served by HDVCH. Typical referral conditions include epilepsy brain tumors congenital heart disease head injury neurovascular disorders genetic syndromes movement disorders prematurity and toxic exposure. Neuropsychological evaluations are also conducted within the context of pre- and post-neurosurgical evaluations. There are a few urgent inpatient evaluations required. As the primary Pediatric Clinical Academic Partner of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine HDVCH offers academic appointments for qualified candidates and teaching opportunities are available. There is also support for clinical research.
Practice Description:
The new Pediatric Neuropsychologist will join the Division of Neurosciences. This expanding division includes 5 Pediatric Neuropsychologists 4 Psychometrists (1 is bilingual) 1 shared with the Adult space bilingual 4 Pediatric Neurosurgeons 11 Pediatric Neurologists and 16 Advanced Practice Providers. Patients are referred from within neurosciences as well as other specialties (e.g. biochemical geneticists).

Qualifications
Required Doctorate Ph.D. or PsyD in clinical psychology counseling psychology or clinical neuropsychology; and post-doctoral fellowship: 2 year formal post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology
Experience working in an outpatient and inpatient neuropsychology setting Preferred
LIC-Psychologist - STATEMI State of Michigan required
CRT-Board Eligible/Board Cert Clinical Neuropsychology
