Position Summary:

The Training Coordinator ensures CKOR production team members receive timely accurate and compliant training to perform their roles safely and consistently. This role manages training schedules maintains audit-ready documentation coordinates on-the-job training activities and partners closely with supervisors and leads to ensure required training is completed and properly recorded. As a frontline-experienced team member the Training Coordinator supports the integrity of CKORs training systems by reinforcing SOPs tracking training progress and ensuring training expectations are clear and accessible across all shifts. By keeping training organized compliant and up to date this role strengthens operational reliability team readiness and a culture of safety and quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and update a comprehensive CKOR training calendar including onboarding refresher SOP GMP food safety and health & safety training across all shifts
  • Coordinate training logistics by scheduling sessions confirming trainer/SME assignments preparing materials and communicating expectations to leaders and team members
  • Track training completion OJT progress and skills verification using approved systems of record (e.g. SharePoint) ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
  • Support new hire onboarding by coordinating training plans facilitating orientation preparing required documents and checklists and ensuring trainers understand their responsibilities
  • Assist supervisors and leads in delivering on-the-job training by providing checklists verifying completion and ensuring documentation is submitted correctly and on time
  • Maintain up-to-date SOP GMP allergen safety and compliance training materials; coordinate updates with QA Safety and Production leaders
  • Track certifications and renewals (e.g. forklift allergen CPR/First Aid) and coordinate timely recertification to ensure continuous compliance
  • Prepare and generate reports to demonstrate compliance with FDA OSHA and SQF training requirements; support audit preparation by ensuring records are accurate and accessible
  • Collect feedback from trainers supervisors and team members to improve training clarity consistency and usability; recommend updates when needed
  • Maintain bilingual or accessible versions of training aids (English/Spanish) by coordinating translations or updates as needed (not creating content independently)
  • Support People Operations QA and Production in updating SOPs and ensuring revised materials are reflected in training documentation and schedules


Qualifications

Joining Our Team

Qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience in a food manufacturing production quality or safety environment
  • Previous experience coordinating training onboarding or compliance documentation or leading on-the-job training

Knowledge and Critical Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and tracking
  • Ability to stay organized prioritize tasks and manage multiple training activities across shifts
  • Clear respectful communication style that reflects Salt & Straw hospitality while working with diverse teams
  • Ability to follow and reinforce SOPs GMPs and safety practices
  • Comfortable working in a production environment and partnering with supervisors leads and trainers
  • Ability to learn new systems and maintain digital training records effectively
  • Foundational knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) HACCP SQF and relevant local state and federal food safety and health regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office SharePoint and other digital tools for documentation and scheduling
  • Fluency in English; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Wage Transparency:

We are actively embracing pay transparency by disclosing the hiring wage for this role as $23.40 - $24.96 highlighting its full earning potential within the broader range of $23.40 - $28.60.
