The Supervisor of Production Planning & Scheduling is responsible for:
- Overall day-to-day leadership of Production Planning & Scheduling standard work across 2 sites ensuring consistent execution across value streams
- Translating supply signals into executable production plans including daily weekly and longer-range schedules aligned to capacity and material availability
- Ownership of site production plan attainment and planning-related KPIs supporting OTD inventory and service objectives
- Balancing demand capacity and constraintsby proactively identifying risks (material labor equipment) and driving mitigation actions
- Escalate and facilitate decisions on service inventory and capacity trade-offswithin the S&OE horizon
This position reports to the Materials Managerand is part of the Consumable Reagents team located in Hialeah FL or Hebron KY. This is an on-site rolewith periodic travel between sites.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain Operations Engineering or related field with 5 years of experiencein production planning scheduling or manufacturing operationsorMasters degree with 3 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience converting demand forecasts into feasible production schedules
- Strong working knowledge of production planning and scheduling systems including advanced planning or supply planning tools(Oracle or similar)
- Experience supporting production plan attainment inventory targets and service metrics (OTD)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret demand variability capacity constraints and inventory drivers
Travel:
- Ability to travel periodically between Hialeah FL and Hebron KYand for special projects as needed
It would be a plus if you also possess:
- 2 years of people leadership experience
- Experience working in make-to-order (MTO) make-to-stock (MTS) or hybrid environments
- Hands-on experience with pull systems Kanban supermarkets orflow-based scheduling
- Familiarity with value stream management or finite scheduling concept
