Job Description Summary:

Job Requirements Prerequisites and Essential Functions:

EDUCATION
A Degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration is preferred. Three or more years of demonstrated professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

EXPERIENCE
Three years general accounting or business experience is desired. Education may be substituted for experience for exceptional candidates.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to candidates possessing a CPA Certificate or who have passed all or part of the CPA exam but it is not required.

PREREQUISITE SKILLS
1. Knowledge of general accounting principles and operations as well as subsidiary systems such as accounts payable purchasing payroll and receivables
2. Knowledge of auditing procedures
3. Knowledge of mainframe and microcomputer operations with a working knowledge of at least one application in each area of electronic spreadsheet word-processing and database management application
4. Good verbal communication skills
5. Strong customer service orientation
6. Must have the ability to act independently within prescribed parameters
7. Ability to assess processes and implement improvement where appropriate
8. Ability to assume increasing levels of responsibility in accounting issues

Compensation:

The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Individual pay is set by skills experience qualifications and internal/market equity consistent with MarinHealths compensation philosophy. Positions covered by collective bargaining agreements are governed by those agreements.
