About the job:
We are seeking a motivated professional to join our Structured Finance team as an Analyst or this role you will support the origination structuring and execution of structured finance transactions incorporating both Project Finance (with a primary focus on energy infrastructure and TMT sectors) and Asset Finance (aviation and shipping). The position is based in Hong Kong where you will contribute to expanding our activities in the Asia-Pacific region working closely with senior team members clients and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored financing solutions. This position offers hands-on experience in complex deals within a fast-paced market providing a strong foundation for career growth in sustainable and innovative financings.
Key Responsibilities:
Origination Support: assist in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities in Structured Finance encompassing Project Finance (energy infrastructure and TMT) and Asset Finance (aviation and shipping). Help prepare marketing materials and build relationships with clients lenders and advisors to contribute to a growing pipeline of transactions.
Transaction Execution Support: participate in the execution of deals including financial modelling due diligence structuring credit analysis and documentation (terms sheets commitment letters credit agreements etc). Preparation of credit papers collaborating with risk legal tax and compliance teams to ensure efficient processes.
Market Research and Analysis: conduct research on market trends regulatory developments and competitive dynamics in the energy infrastructure TMT aviation and shipping industries. Prepare reports and presentations to support senior management in identifying opportunities and risks in the Asia Pacific region.
Client Support: assist in managing client relationships by preparing customized financing proposals and materials that align with client objectives. Contribute to fostering long-term partnerships.
Team Collaboration: work alongside senior team members on cross-functional projects provide analytical support and help ensure compliance with the banks policies ESG principles and international standards.
Risk Assessment: support the evaluation of credit operational and market risks in Structured Finance transactions aiding in the development of risk mitigation strategies.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelors degree in Finance Business Economics Engineering or related disciplines
2 to 5 years of working experience in Structured Finance or related roles
Knowledge & Skills
Good understanding of the APAC Project and Asset finance markets and industry best practices
Experience in the origination and execution of Structured Finance loan transactions
Strong credit and risk analysis skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
Excellent presentation and analytical skills
Well-organized and detail-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel PowerPoint Word) and AI analytical tools
Language
Fluent in spoken and written English. Spanish or Mandarin (or other Asian languages) will be viewed favourably.
