We are currently seeking a Clinical Education Facilitator for a hospital in Galway Ireland.

Temporary full-time position/12-month contract/37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
Identify clinical education and training needs in collaboration with the Practice Development and Education Team.
Coordinate mandatory and continuing education programmes for clinical and non-clinical staff.
Develop and update training materials in line with current clinical standards and best practice.
Teach and/or coordinate education programmes with internal and external instructors.
Manage and further develop the orientation programme for all new staff.
Promote and support evidence-based practice including service improvement audit and research initiatives.
Support nurses requiring additional professional development maintaining records and preparing performance reports.
Support staff in developing service initiatives nursing audits and research projects.
Collaborate with Clinical Education Facilitators in ICU and Theatre and act as a link for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes.
Maintain education audits and records support preceptors and nursing standards implementation and undertake duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing Office.
Requirements
Registered General Nurse on the NMBI active register
Minimum 3 years clinical experience
Demonstrated interest and experience in workplace learning and an understanding of adult learning principles
Experience in the development and delivery of clinical education programmes
Proven clinical and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
Experience in clinical audit and/or research with the ability to identify areas for practice improvement
Up-to-date knowledge of national and international nursing issues including legislation governance and regulation
Postgraduate qualification in nursing or a related discipline
Peer-reviewed publications and/or conference presentations
