As a Locum MD Hospitalist you will play a crucial role in managing patient care collaborating with healthcare teams and ensuring that best practices are upheld in our facility. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Perform patient assessments diagnoses and treatment planning
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient progress and update medical records accurately
- Participate in patient care rounds and case discussions
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide timely interventions
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment options
- Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Prior experience in hospital medicine preferred
- Strong clinical skills in internal medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Schedule: 7a-7p 1p-10p or 7p-7a
7 day stretches of coverage
Daily Census: 15 patients 2-3 admits
EMR: Cerner
Paid travel & lodging
Must be board-certified
