Build Nova Scotias strategic infrastructure division is hiring an Engineering Student for the 2026 summer term. The Engineering Student is accountable for supporting with assigned projects and tasks related to our divisions engineering and strategic infrastructure objectives.
What youll do
Responsibilities
Supports in achieving the goals of the strategic infrastructure department.
Communicates regularly with project managers and senior management to maintain positive working relationships.
Monitors tracks and communicates project deliverables and provides reports and inputs to leaders.
Closely reviews assigned work and provides ideas and solutions for ongoing projects.
Gains increased experience and exposure to a diverse range of engineering and infrastructure projects.
Works with a high attention to detail on assigned tasks and reports progress back to key leaders within the department.
Other duties as assigned.
What youll need
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a full-time engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution and returning to studies in fall 2026.
Candidates should possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail display strong organizational and analytical skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is a significant asset.

Working Conditions:
Normal work week hours are 35 hours/week 7 hours/day.
Normal work is generally carried out in an office work setting. Exposure to indoor/outdoor worksites will occur on occasion.
Location of work is in Halifax NS.
Additional Information:
This opportunity will start approximately first week of May 2026 with an end date in late August 2026.
Rate of pay for students is established based on current academic level.
