Job Summary

Under immediate supervision and direction of the Sign Shop Supervisor or designee this position assists in creating graphic design layout and for the purpose of signage on campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the shop supervisor operate a variety of graphic publishing software programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to develop signage designs and delineate campus environments for proposed signage with the use of photography illustrations and mockups. Assists Shop Supervisor on job walks with customers.
• Under the direction of the shop supervisor prepare layouts and produce materials using standard skills and knowledge related to the design creation and display of visual print multimedia and electronic materials.

Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.

• CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4570 (Step 1) - $6658 (Step 20) per month.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate is a highly organized adaptable and customerfocused professional with strong computer skills including working knowledge of spreadsheet and wordprocessing programs and the ability to quickly learn and use inhouse maintenance management and campus event management systems. They possess excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with all levels of administration faculty staff contractors and the general public. With proven experience in customerserviceoriented environments they excel in highpressure and highprofile situations maintaining professionalism while multitasking and prioritizing multiple projects. This individual brings strong interpersonal abilities creativity and the capacity to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds perspectives and skill levels. They are comfortable using paging systems such as radios and walkietalkies as well as multiline phone systems and consistently deliver exceptional customer service through clear respectful and effective communication.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Education and Experience

Equivalent to a bachelors degree in a related field and six months of related professional or technical experience required.

Proficient in various graphic design software programs including Adobe Suite package preferred.
