Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Line Manager within our Platinum Group Metals department to join the team.

The John Knight Laboratory encompasses the analysis of a broad range of materials and commodities for different clients and is a critical function of AHKIs laboratory services. The John Knight laboratory is recognised as the Centre of excellence across the AHK Group and as such must deliver operational excellence given the intrinsic value of the commodities being analysed.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

• High level of expertise in the analysis of precious metals across a wide and varying range of metalliferous commodities.
• Understanding and knowledge of precious metals analysis and having the ability to pass this down via training this knowledge.
• Able to process large data sets to reach conclusions.
• Effective people management skills.
• Effective project management skills.

Required Competencies

• Able to critically review technical information and spot root causes and suggest solutions.
• High attention to detail.
• Able to focus on meeting given deadlines.
• Able to work independently and take the initiative.
• Able to communicate effectively in a range of different formats and at all levels in the organisation.

Required Work Experience

• Substantial experience in a commercial analytical laboratory environment.
• A proven track record in people management.

Required Qualifications

• Higher National Education level knowledge or equivalent vocational experience.
• Further scientific qualifications of interest.
