Job Summary
Reporting and Insights is part of COO Tech & Transformation. It provides insights ensures data compliance and enables CTO to steer based on high quality information. Within Reporting and Insights the CDO Office is the department this role reports into.
The CDO Office ensures that CTO operates on meaningful trusted and compliant data. It strengthens reporting processes data delivery efficiency and data management practices in alignment with INGs global data standards. The team provides the standards frameworks and consistent ways of working that support institutional reporting across performance delivery financials service management people and risk.
We work closely with (senior) management process owners and report/metric owners who shape steering and reporting requirements. We also collaborate with engineering architecture and data delivery teams that build scalable and reusable data flows and with Global Data Management who define INGs global data standards.
Our mission is to create insights that matter based on data with meaning. This means ensuring that information used within CTO is useful trusted owned compliant and institutional to support INGs global way of working.
As a Data Consultant in the CDO Office you help drive this mission by supporting improvements in data management reporting and data delivery efficiency
What you will do
Strategic advisory across data reporting and delivery
Translate strategic objectives into actionable recommendations across the data lifecycle.
Support CTO in adopting scalable and efficient data delivery practices and helping improve reporting processes.
Identify inefficiencies manual work and duplication and guide teams toward more consistent and reusable approaches.
Data & Transformation Leadership
Lead crossdepartment and crossfunctional transformation programs that execute the enterprise data strategy within Tech
Translate strategic data objectives into concrete initiatives roadmaps and delivery models aligned with CTO priorities
Design and establish program governance structures including scope definition delivery models escalation paths and decision frameworks
Prepare program proposals strategic roadmaps and governance documentation for executive sponsorship and funding decisions
Cross domain alignment
Work across engineering reporting governance and architecture teams to ensure alignment.
Facilitate discussions to create shared understanding of definitions sourcing decisions and dependencies that influence reporting.
Governance policy alignment and reporting and insight enablement
Interpret and apply ING data management and data quality frameworks.
Translate these requirements into clear and practical guidance for CTO teams.
Support improvements in reporting flows from sourcing and lineage to metric clarity and consistency.
Work with report owners and data consumers to improve insight quality.
Communication and structuring
Prepare clear analyses narratives and decision papers.
Simplify complex data topics for a wide range of stakeholders.
What we are looking for
Experience
Proven track record of leading and successful delivering complex multistakeholder initiatives
Experienced consultancy skills written and verbally
You have experience in one or more of the following areas: data governance data management reporting analytics technology consulting or data delivery.
You understand basic data lifecycle and reporting concepts.
Skills
You have strong analytical skills clear communication abilities and a structured problem-solving approach.
