Production WorkerOperator (Night Shift)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At our Denver facility we are looking for a night shift production worker who picks copper and fluff off moving conveyor cleans around mill and or MRP assists shredder mechanics in changing out conveyors bearing shafts and greasing. CF&I Recycling is committed to maintaining and promoting a safe healthy and injury-free environment. It is required for all jobs.

• Keeps the work area clean and ready for daily operations.
• Ensures conveyor bearings are clean and properly greased.
• Sorts only copper and ASR to ensure quality material is shipped to customers.
• Reports any issues immediately as they arise.
• Assists shredder mechanics during projects.
• Assists in meeting monthly production goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before working on any plant equipment.
• Cross-trains in other departments to provide coverage during short staffing or call-ins.

Requirements

• Completion of High School and/or equivalent
• Occasional additional hours including weekends may be required depending on operational needs
• Ability to push pull and lift materials up to 40 lbs.
• Standing for up to 12 hours regular walking squatting and climbing
• Mechanically inclined
• Self-motivated: Initiates and takes action before being required to do so
• Strong work ethic: uses time efficiently work safely and making sure everyone around them are working safely
• Strong command of the English language both written and spoken
• Some Recycling/Mining experience will be considered an asset

COMPENSATION

Hourly rate: $22 - $26
