Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Nursing
Location: Falmouth MA (02540)
Job Details:
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: Primarily Day Shift (7:00 AM 3:00 PM) with flexibility to pick up Evening Shifts (3:00 PM 11:00 PM)
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and holiday required
Pay Package:
Traveler Rate: $2200 per week
Local Rate: $1800 per week
Position Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the daily activities of nursing assistants in a long-term care environment. This role supports the delivery of high-quality compassionate care while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and facility standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants on assigned shifts
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Accurately document nursing care physician orders and resident responses
Coordinate admissions transfers and discharges with appropriate documentation
Communicate effectively with physicians residents families and interdisciplinary teams
Participate in care planning resident rounds and regulatory surveys/inspections
Ensure adequate supplies medications and equipment are available on the unit
Educate residents and families regarding care needs and treatment plans
Uphold resident rights confidentiality and standards of care
Education Licensure & Certifications:
Graduate of an approved LPN program
Active unencumbered Massachusetts LPN license
BLS/CPR (AED) certification required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge of nursing practices procedures and long-term care regulations
Strong documentation organizational and communication skills
Ability to supervise staff and make independent clinical decisions
Team-oriented with leadership and supervisory abilities
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements of the role
Proficient in English (reading writing speaking and comprehension)
