Amalgamated Bank is looking to hire a Salesforce Product Owner to lead our Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) agile development team. This person is responsible for defining product features prioritizing the product backlog and acting as a representative for stakeholders (the business) essentially ensuring the Salesforce product aligns with business needs and delivers maximum value by managing the development process within the platform.
Essential Job Functions:
- Product vision: They understand the overall vision for the Salesforce product and translate that into actionable features and user stories.
- Backlog management: They maintain and prioritize the list of tasks (product backlog) that the development team works on deciding which features are most important to address first.
- Stakeholder communication: They act as a bridge between the development team and stakeholders ensuring everyone is aligned on product priorities and receiving updates on progress.
- Agile methodology: Often work within an Agile framework collaborating closely with the development team to deliver features in iterative cycles.
- Customer focus: They deeply understand customer needs and use that information to guide product development decisions.
- Conveys the Vision and Goals at the beginning of every Release and Sprint. The PO must continuously remind the Team of the Sprint and Release goals. This helps to keep the Team on track and serves as a benchmark for the Team to measure their activity and progress.
- Participates in the daily Scrums Sprint Planning Meetings and Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives. Each of these Scrum ceremonies is another chance for the PO to inspect and adapt. Being present at these ceremonies is essential to success.
- Communicates status externally. The PO is the voice of the Team to the outside world ensuring that all channels of communication are open and that projects have the proper amount of support required to succeed.
Knowledge Skills and Experience Requirements:
- At least 5 years of Salesforce experience
- Salesforce FSC Certified
- Agile Methodology Certified
- Proficient collaboration skills and can effectively inspire and lead a team
- Adept at gathering business requirements
- Skilled at translating business requirements and creating salesforce Agile stories Epics Themes and Features
