Shift: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM (3 days per week)
We are seeking a dedicated Dietitian to join the Robert Young Center (RYC) Clinical Mental Health Outpatient Services team in support of our Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (EDIOP). This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact on individuals in recovery by providing specialized compassionate nutrition care within a multidisciplinary treatment setting. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team; including physicians nurses medical assistants therapists and nutrition professionals to ensure coordinated holistic care.

Responsibilities
- Conducts group and individual counseling/teaching sessions relating to the importance of proper nutrition for health promotion and disease prevention.
- Works in a team environment and communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
- Participates in interdisciplinary case conferences integrating the health care team in meeting the patients overall plan of care.
- Uses the nutrition care process to interpret nutrition screens perform initial and follow-up nutrition assessments and implement interventions with a personalized nutrition plan of care.
- Documents nutrition care according to department policies using approved format content and timeline standards.
- Interprets nutrition care orders and implement in patient education group and individual counseling and meal services.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition. Dietetic Internship or equivalent Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved program.
Experience:
- Demonstrated competence of two years of dietitian experience using the nutrition care process
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Active registration status of Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the American Dietetic Association
- Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in Iowa
- Meets ongoing continuing education requirement to maintain license(s) and CDR registration
