Responsible for dispensing investigational medications and direct patient care needs of patients participating in research studies at Mayo Clinic. Serves as a resource to study teams local pharmacy teams and nurses for patient-specific investigational medication questions. Conduct eConsults to compare patient medications to study criteria and participate in site readiness activities.
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience includes at least two years of relevant pharmacy practice experience. Commitment to excellence accuracy attention to detail and teamwork. Skills in procedural/professional writing and professional presentations. Computer skills including word processing spreadsheet and database applications. Ability to communicate effectively work collaboratively with others organize time well solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
Current pharmacist license by the Board of Pharmacy in the state(s) of the jobs practice site or eligible to obtain within a time frame compliant with the sites applicable employee licensure policy. May not independently fulfill responsibilities reserved only to a pharmacist until license is obtained.
Preferred: Prior experience in Hematology / Oncology. Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency and/or fellowship and/or one year relevant pharmacy experience. Experience in investigational drug service. History of scholarly activities including publication and scientific meeting presentations. Experience and/or interest in teaching.
