Airbus Operations is looking for a student (d/f/m) to join the Structure Design Team in Bremen for a thesis focused on Concept Development for Future Aircraft Structures.

Duration: 6 months

You will be integrated into a multidisciplinary and transnational project team. Your thesis will follow the structure of a comprehensive design study:
Methodology: Develop and select appropriate methods for design and concept development.
Concept Development: Create design concepts for a selected structural component (considering composite metallic or hybrid solutions).
Evaluation: Assess concepts based on technical criteria and select the most promising solution.
Detailing & CAD: Elaborate and detail the preferred solution using CAD tools.
Sizing: Perform Pre-Sizing and assess structural integrity as a key evaluation criterion.
Holistic Assessment: Incorporate economic (cost) industrial (manufacturability) and other relevant criteria into the final evaluation.
Education: Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in Aeronautical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Technical Skills: First experience in CAD Design (preferably CATIA V5 / V6) is required.
Languages: Fluent in German and English.
Soft Skills: You have an independent working style analytical mindset and enjoy solving technical challenges creatively.
