The Position

We are looking for a highly motivated Product Manager with a strong data science background to work together with us on a data and analytics platform aimed at increasing time to insight from Real World Data. The Product Manager interacts directly with stakeholders to uncover and communicate user needs and assist in product discovery activities. They provide close support to the Lead Product Manager so that what gets built is both valuable and viable. They are instrumental in planning designing and conducting testing activities engaging engineering and supporting teams and compiling critical content for training and user communication.


What will you do

  • Apply a structured approach to discover document and manage business processes user and stakeholder needs including opportunity statements use cases insights and requirements.
  • Gather insight into user journey behavior motivation and pain points. Exposes unarticulated problems and unmet needs.
  • Document business processes business and user needs in the form of problem statements to make up the backlog. Facilitates the how with the Engineering team.
  • Gain expertise in the business area.
  • Leverage business and user insight to help inform solutioning ideas and prioritization decisions to deliver valuable products.
  • Get knowledge of and leverage existing solutions to benefit their stakeholders. through using IT communities.
  • Introduces and inspires change at all stages of product development.


Qualifications skills & experience required

  • University degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an analyst or product role.
  • Open and receptive to listening. Asks thoughtful questions. Curious and persistent. Able to discern pain points and simplify complex problems.
  • Critical thinker who can effectively balance the needs of stakeholders and users. Embraces new ideas and evidence and fosters a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Able to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
  • Strong business acumen and easy rapport with peers and executives.
  • Adept at managing diverse relationships across expertise geography and culture regardless of organizational hierarchy.
  • Solid communication skills including facilitation of live or virtual meetings meeting/workshop management written communication and presentation skills.
  • Previous experience with agile software development.
  • Knowledge of data science concepts RESTful APIs HTTP requests JSON and data exchange formats.
  • Understanding of data modeling data engineering and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with programming in R and/or Python.
  • Experience in package management dependency tracking and version control systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud automation and orchestration tools.


Nice to have

  • Exposure to the pharmaceutical industry or a different highly regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in MLOps tools (Databricks SageMaker) CI/CD practices and monitoring solutions.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark).
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms.
