To design and review electrical power instrumentation and control systems for water supply pumping stations and wastewater treatment projects ensuring compliance with KSA / UAE authority standards and international codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review LV/MV electrical systems including transformers switchgear MCCs VFDs UPS and generators.
- Prepare and review SLDs load calculations cable sizing voltage drop and short-circuit studies.
- Design and review earthing and lightning protection systems per IEC / IEEE / BS standards.
- Design and review instrumentation and control systems including PLC SCADA RTU and telemetry.
- Develop and review P&IDs control philosophy I/O lists alarm and cause & effect matrices.
- Review contractor and vendor shop drawings technical submittals FAT/SAT procedures.
- Coordinate with process mechanical civil and utility authorities.
Authority & Regional Experience
- Strong experience with KSA authorities (SEC NWC SWCC) and/or UAE authorities (DEWA ADDC AADC Etihad Water & Electricity).
- Familiar with authority design guidelines approval processes and commissioning requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
- Min 5 to 10 years of experience in water & wastewater infrastructure projects in KSA / UAE.
- Proven experience in pump stations WTP WWTP reservoirs and transmission networks.
Technical Skills
- LV/MV systems MCCs VFDs UPS generators
- PLC/SCADA platforms (Siemens Schneider Rockwell ABB)
- Instrumentation for flow level pressure and water quality
- Standards: IEC IEEE BS NFPA ISA
- Tools: REVIT AutoCAD ETAP PLC/SCADA software
Soft Skills
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management
- Ability to work on fast-track Middle East infrastructure projects
- Clear technical communication and problem-solving skills
