Job Summary
*ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES*
Major Responsibilities
-Under direct supervision assist Blacksmiths in doing general blacksmith work.
-Look after and attend a forge.
-Wield a sledge or ball peen hammer and handle tongs.
-Look after tools such as tongs hammers and swedges.
-Place and heat pieces to be worked.
-Assist in the forging and shaping manually or by power hammer or angle irons bridle irons tools automobile parts or similar pieces of equipment.
-Assist in the repair of iron parts of trucks automobiles carts sweepers enclosures and other equipment.

Qualifications :
Qualification Requirements
1. Three (3) years of satisfactory recent full time paid experience as a Blacksmiths Helper; or
2. A satisfactory equivalent.
This position requires extraordinary physical effort.
