Principal BIM Modeler Civil (Water)

Role description:

We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for PrincipalBIM Modeler to work on our projects.

To be considered for a role we are seeking candidates with the following credentials:

Job title:

Principal BIM Modeler Civil (ANA Water Projects).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Production Detailing and verification of BIM models and civil drawings for selected projects (or components of projects) for ANA Water Civils teamspecifically water/ wastewater treatment works pumping station Site layout levees other civil related works.
• Managing CAD/BIM deliverables for multiple projects to completion within budget & schedule.
• Effectively manage own time across multiple projects & fulfill responsibilities as well as improve on functional expertise.
• Take on Line Management OR Training of other Project team members to support on deliverables
• Perform Quality assurance checks on all deliverable to ensure CAD/BIM standard compliance & other project specific elements including but not limited to layers styles title blocks naming conventions text parameters etc.
• Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines to mitigate design challenges.
• Proactively engaging with various Arcadis Regional offices/ teams regarding resolving issues and create strong relationships with project colleagues in the regions evidenced through great feedback.
• Liaising with and assisting the design professional and BIM Manager / Coordinator.
• Adhere to the schedule and quality requirements.
• Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
• Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
• Follow BIM content standards and development procedures.
• Mentoring & Training junior staff
• Good communication skills.

Software Expectations:

• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD to prepare drawings at an advanced level.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D in the following.
  • surface modelling & Analysis and grading
  • gravity and pressure pipe network modelling
  • Corridor building
  • Sub assembly & other content creation
  • Effective use of Alignments & Feature lines
• Advanced knowledge in Navisworks Manage including Clash detection & resolving clashes preferably 4D Simulation.
• Good Knowledge on Revit
• Good knowledge on BIM 360 Design (CDE)
• Very good understanding of interoperability between softwares used to accomplish multi-discipline tasks.
• Any knowledge in Design Automation is an added advantage.

Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Required competencies:

• Practical experience in the Civil industry specifically water/ wastewater treatment works Water and Sewer Networks and pumping stations
• Good understanding of BIM Level 2 processes & workflows
• experience in vehicle tracking earthworks pavements drainage Site grading and underground services.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
• A strong self-motivated and assertive person capable of working under pressure.
• Team player
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Flexible to adopt new work /challenge work as per business requirement.

Qualifications and Experience:

Diploma in Civil Engineering/BE Civil from a recognized University.
8 years relevant experience.
