Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated AI Engineer to join our dynamic development team focused on an exciting project in the environmental services sector specializing in carbon finance and sustainability consulting.

This role is hands-on and ideal for engineers who thrive on autonomy problem-solving and driving projects from start to finish.

What will you do:

Configure and implement the agent platform for client deployments
Design and manage context tools and workflows
Set up API integrations and build lightweight services
Combine prompting expertise with engineering integration capabilities
Independently manage projects from discovery to delivery
Communicate progress clearly and work closely with clients

Solution design:

Agentic workflow experience using LLMs: document parsing planning and decomposition multi-model orchestration reasoning reflection and self correction model tuning
AI & LLM Frameworks:
- Experience of Google AI ecosystem: Vertex Pipelines Model Registry Document AI
- AI & LLM Frameworks: Experience with LangChain LlamaIndex or direct API integration with OpenAI/Anthropic. Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) is critical for processing our climate documents/data
- Model Adaptation and Fine-Tuning: Demonstrated experience customizing and fine-tuning pre-trained language models (LLMs) to enhance performance mitigate domain drift and align model outputs with specific proprietary knowledge or behavioral standards
- Backend Integration: Experience exposing AI models via APIs to connect with the main Luumo platform
Data Engineering: Ability to handle unstructured data (PDFs climate reports) and structured datasets. Familiarity with SQL and vector databases (e.g. Pinecone Milvus or pgvector)

Coding:

Core Language: Proficient in Python with experience in building production-grade code not just notebooks
TypeScript React
Cloud & DevOps: Experience with deploying AI solutions on GCP using GitHub GitHub Actions and containerization (Docker)

Soft Skills Requirements:

Ambiguity Tolerance: Ability to work in an investigative environment where the solution isnt fully defined yet
Translation Skills:Capable of explaining complex AI limitations and hallucinations to non-technical stakeholders (important for the escalation process Dara mentioned)
Domain Interest: Genuine interest in Climate Tech/Risk. Since the subject matter is complex the developer needs to care about the accuracy of the data
Pro-active self starter
Ability and willingness to share knowledge to collaborate and educate other Engineers
English proficiency at B2 minimum
