This role will support our data warehouse vision by maintaining our new Azure data hub platform. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements designing and executing test plans and reporting on test results. You will also work closely with developers project managers and stakeholders to ensure that the deliverables meet the business needs and quality Senior Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with the Architects DevOps Leads and stakeholders to define target state data solutions. Working closely with Data Delivery team members and business users to address all data and reporting needs for the entire one of the regions top employers and be part of something that truly makes a Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo ON a minimum of two (2) assigned consecutive days every other week plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum youll do:Ensure data quality accuracy and consistency across all data sources in the Azure EQDataHubAnalyze business needs and system requirements and translate that into business specification documentsEvaluate and improve system performance and qualityCollaborate and coordinate with other business system analystsLearn and adapt to new technologies and trendsGather and document business requirements from clients and stakeholders Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications Develop and maintain test cases test scripts and test data using Azure Test PlansExecute test cases both manually and using automated tools such as Azure DevOpsIdentify report and track software defects and issues using Azure DevOpsPerform regression integration performance and user acceptance testingCollaborate with developers and project managers to resolve issues and ensure software quality Provide feedback and suggestions for software improvement and enhancement Prepare and present test reports and metrics to clients and stakeholders Stay updated with the latest Azure cloud technologies and best practices with the mindset of migrating on-prem data warehouse solutions to AzureWhat youll bring:Bachelors degree in computer science information systems or a related fieldThree years of experience in business analysis and quality assurance testing using Microsoft technologiesExperience with software development methodologies such as Agile Scrum or WaterfallCBAP certification would be an assetExperience in agile methodologies and Azure DevOps of SQL HTML XML and other scripting languagesExcellent ability to record data and plan in Excel/PowerPointExcellent analytical problem-solving and communication (verbal and written) skillsAn eye and a passion for detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to handle multiple tasks and deadlinesWhats in it for you:Career Growth: Regular learning sessions and developmentopportunitiesTotal Rewards: Incentive pay annual salary reviews employer-paid benefits and pensionmatchingTime Away: Competitive vacation plus one paid volunteer day each yearFlexibility: Healthy work-life balance with employee wellness always top of mind complemented by a dress for your day approachAt Equitable were committed to fair pay and an inclusive accessible hiring experience.
