Position Detail:
Sovah Health a two-hospital system on the southern border of Virginiais located inMartinsville and Danville. We are growing with the addition of a hospital-employed full-time BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to strengthen our established team. Those who are currently practicing or are currently in training can be considered.
Join an employed group composed of Hem/Oncs APP and Rad/Oncon-site
Bi-weekly tumor board and clinical trial programs
Aria Oncology information system
Averaging 25-30 per day outpatient clinic
10 infusion chairs 2 quick chairs
Inpatient treatment referred to large academic centers in the area
Staffed with navigators pharmacist pharm tech lab tech with lab draws in office phlebotomist office manager clinical director (shared with radiation oncology)
24/7 Hospitalist coverage
Most local cancer referrals come from GS GI UroPulmENTand Neph. Common Oncology scope breast prostate lung colon head/neck with a large Hematology panel
Good working relationship with tertiary centers in region
ACOS-CoC accredited
Low turnover in the clinic with a true family atmosphere
