    REQUIREMENTS:

    • NYS Teaching Certification preferred
    • BCBA and LBA Certification required
    • Must meet NYSED Fingerprinting requirements
    • School-based certification (i.e. special education teacher school psychologist etc.)

    The requirements above are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required:

    • Ability to demonstrate competence in behavioral management skills instructional skills and oral and written communication.
    • Ability to work with a variety of students in regards to age functionality and diverse backgrounds who have diverse skills and needs with minimal direction.
    • Assist in development and implementation of assessment tools.
    • Ability to conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to each appropriate behavior and reduce targeted behaviors.
    • Complete functional assessments and behavioral intervention plans. Graph analyze and interpret data on the occurrence of target behaviors and replacement behaviors.
    • Assess students using the ABLLS VB-MAPP and EFL. Knowledge of Direct Instruction Curriculums including: Language for Learning Connecting Math Concepts Reading Mastery Corrective Reading Knowledge of Discrete Trial Instruction programming and implementation.
    • Provide ongoing support and training to teachers parents/caregivers and direct support to professionals as related to programming/curriculum and BIPs.
    • Participate in CSE meetings as needed.
    • Collaborate and partner with the students family and other team members.
    • Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly. Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending conferences reviewing publications attain CEUs to maintain BCBA certification.
