Inspire Learning in Key Stage 2
Our school in Reading is seeking a motivated enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join our supportive team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a dynamic class of upper Key Stage 2 pupils helping them build confidence resilience and strong academic foundations as they approach the final years of primary school.
The successful candidate will plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the curriculum ensuring all pupils are challenged and supported to reach their full potential. We are looking for a teacher who combines strong subject knowledge with creativity and flexibility inspiring pupils to develop a love of learning that goes beyond the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
Delivering engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum in line with the National Curriculum
Assessing pupil progress regularly and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
Maintaining a safe inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
Supporting pupils social emotional and personal development
Working collaboratively with colleagues teaching assistants and school leaders
Communicating effectively with parents and carers about pupils progress and achievements
Participating in staff meetings CPD and school-wide initiatives
You will play a pivotal role in preparing pupils for the transition into Year 6 while fostering independence resilience and enthusiasm for learning.
Who Were Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching upper Key Stage 2 ideally Year 5
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in literacy numeracy and wider curriculum areas
Can differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and higher-attaining learners
Is organised adaptable and reflective in their practice
Works collaboratively within a professional and supportive team
Is committed to safeguarding inclusion and the wellbeing of all pupils
Early Career Teachers with a passion for upper Key Stage 2 teaching are encouraged to apply. Support and mentoring will be provided to ensure success in the role.
