Head of Science to lead a highly successful and well-resourced Science department
Our client is seeking an ambitious and experienced Head of Science to join an Outstanding 1118 mixed secondary school in Bath. The successful Head of Science will lead the Science department across KS3 & KS4 with oversight of KS5 provision. This is a full-time permanent position starting April 2026.
The Science department is exceptionally well resourced forward-thinking and staffed by a strong team of subject specialists across Biology Chemistry and Physics. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Head of Science or an outstanding Science teacher ready to take the next step into leadership within a school that places a strong emphasis on academic excellence and high expectations. Experience and Qualifications
Proven experience teaching Science across KS3 & KS4 (KS5 essential)
Experience leading or contributing to the leadership of a Science department
A formal teaching qualification with QTS (e.g. PGCE)
Strong subject knowledge and a clear vision for Science education
