The Role
As a KS1 Teacher you will teach pupils in Year 1 or Year 2 creating a stimulating classroom environment that promotes engagement curiosity and resilience. You will plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across all curriculum areas with a particular focus on English mathematics and foundation subjects.
You will also support pupils social emotional and behavioural development helping them to develop confidence independence and interpersonal skills. Collaboration with teaching assistants the SENCO and senior leadership will ensure pupils with additional needs are fully supported and included.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging differentiated lessons in line with curriculum objectives
Assessing monitoring and tracking pupil progress
Supporting pupils social emotional and behavioural development
Creating a safe inclusive and stimulating learning environment
Using a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners including SEN and EAL pupils
Collaborating with teaching assistants subject leaders and SENCO
Communicating effectively with parents carers and external agencies
Participating in CPD staff meetings and school initiatives
Contributing to extracurricular activities school trips and events
Maintaining safeguarding health and safety standards

Has strong classroom management and organisational skills
