What We Offer

This positionis responsible forsupporting manufacturing processes at the Covestro South Deerfield Site.This includes the implementation of electrical control projects to allow for the safe responsible and efficient production of both Thermoplastic Polyurethane and Polycarbonate films.This includes the design development programming and maintenance of automated control systems for site equipment and processes using PLCs HMIs and SCADA. Key duties include writing code creating electrical drawings troubleshooting hardware/software testing systems collaborating with other engineers and ensuring compliance with standards.

The salary range for this position is between $100400 - $186400.

Major Responsibilities

Integrates the sites incident free workplace culture into all activities.
Manages large electrical control safety related projects and provides leadership on site safety teams.
Investigate andproposesolutions for complex electrical safety related concerns.
Management of Change activities for complex process and project activities.
Capable of leading complex electrical /controlsprojects significant role in at least one largeproject
Routinely provides necessaryelectrical engineering support to complex capital and continual improvement projects across the site.
Fluent with industrial electrical standards andsiteselectrical distributionsystemand equipment.
Perform detailed calculations to develop designs specifications and standards for electrical systems
Provides technical support to the production and maintenance teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Develops andutilizesroot cause analysis techniques toidentifyissueswith electrical equipment or reliability problems.
Capable of leading teams through structured problem-solving activities to solve issues.
Possesses a continuous improvement mindset.Leads complex continuous improvement teams / efforts at the site ascontrolsengineering support.Identifiesopportunities and solutions for improvementactivitiesat the site.
Works with Process and Quality Engineering to develop and implement small to mid-size electrical / control projects.
Providesday to daysupport of production fortroubleshooting during start-up of new equipment.
Capable of updating ofStandard Operating Procedures as well as providing operator training activities for electrical / control project activities.
Utilizes their understanding of business and economic drivers toidentifyand develop project opportunities at the site.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering(Electrical preferred) with a minimum of 4 years experience isrequired.

Preferred Qualifications

8-10 years with growing responsibilities in a manufacturing engineering or maintenance environment with some experience with controls is preferred
Professional registrations and/or certifications are desirable

Knowledge & Skills:

Theromoplasticfilm extrusion and web handling
CAD Project SAP desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills organizational skills.
Practices active listening skills able to communicate openly and effectively providingtimelyand relevant feedback tofacilitateappropriate actionsby self and others.
Relates well to people at all levels in the organization andpossessesa balanced sensitivity to safety employeeconcernsand business needs.
Able to function as a peer in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams to ensuretimelydelivery of results.
