Job Summary
Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular
UMH Sparrow Lansing Main Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their Cardiovascular Surgery team in beautiful Lansing MI. With a commitment to high-quality care this facility offers an innovative environment where you can make a real impact. This position features a flexible schedule with a 4-day 10-hour workweek and includes on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to cardiovascular surgery patients
- Round on patients in the CVICU CVSU and vascular departments
- Manage patient care independently with support from a collaborative APP team
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled including weekends
- Utilize Epic for patient documentation and electronic record management
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Advanced Practice Provider (REQUIRED)
- Experience in cardiovascular surgery or related field is highly preferred
- Proficient in acute patient management and care coordination
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active State Medical License (Michigan) or NLC (PREFERRED)
- BLS & ACLS Certifications (REQUIRED)
- Clean malpractice and license history (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
- Copy of the NPDB self-query presented at time of orientation (REQUIRED)
