As the CNC Programmer you will create and implement computer programs that control the operation of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines used in manufacturing processes. Enhance material utilization and support company production goals through the daily implementation and continuous improvement of CNC machine programs. Meet schedule deadlines to ensure labor and machinery efficiencies.
What youll be doing:
Provide daily programs for CNC production equipment (water jet laser plasma cutters turret punch presses press brakes machine centers and panel benders).
Coordinate efforts with other CNC programmers and external resources to identify best practices and maintain programming consistency.
Is proficient on the CNC equipment to do trouble shooting. Modifying nest status in ERP system.
Ensure inventory is being used effectively.
Adjust existing programs to accommodate product redesigns tooling changes and production changes.
Participate on company teams focused on productivity schedule attainment and material utilization.
Use Enterprise Resource Planning systems to review and adjust for changes in parts requirements.
Identify raw material modifications to respond to changes in product or program changes.
Identify justify and implement changes required to sustain continuous improvements.
Maintain CNC programming training materials.
Is a SAP subject matter expert. Acts a resource to other CNC programmers relating to drawings and other supporting software.
Make recommendations on raw material based on the production needs and equipment functionality.
May order component parts for lasers.
Ensure material utilization goals are met.
Collaborate and communicate with materials specialist on inventory/materials shortages.
What you should have:
4-6 years of relevant work experience in CNC programming required.
High school or GED required.
Vocational/technical in Machine Tool Technology or a related field of study preferred.

Travel:
Some travel is expected during the initial training and pre-launch phase. After the plant launch travel will be minimal consistent with a typical CNC programmer role.

The starting base pay range for this position is $29.26/hour - $36.14/hour and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge skills experience and performance.
