Responsibilities include:

  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

Required Skills & Expertise: Machine Operation

  • Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling milling turning and cutting based on production requirements.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into and out of the machine.
  • Start and stop machine operation as required to complete production runs.

Monitoring and Quality Control

  • Monitor the machines performance during operation to ensure consistent and accurate production.
  • Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools (e.g. calipers micrometers) to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and report any deviations from specifications or quality issues to the supervisor.

Routine Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning lubricating and adjusting the machines to ensure they operate efficiently.
  • Detect and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel for more complex repairs and preventive maintenance activities.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of production output machine settings and any issues encountered during operation.
  • Complete production logs inspection reports and other required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and any operational concerns.

Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for the task at hand.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in CNC machining is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a CNC operator or in a related

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and instruments such as micrometers verniers callipers height gauges or other specialized measuring instruments.
  • GD&T knowledge

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve minor mechanical issues.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move materials and tools (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.

Communication and Teamwork

  • Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Equipment/ Tools/ Technology Used:

  • Measuring tools and instruments such as micrometers verniers callipers height gauges or other specialized measuring instruments
  • CNC drilling milling turning and cutting machines

Physical Demands:

Physical Effort.

  • Walking standing sitting kneeling bending and repetitive hand / wrist / finger / arm movements while using equipment in order to perform the job.

Physical Environment:

  • Manufacturing or workshop environment with exposure to loud noise moving mechanical parts and potential hazards.
  • Personal Protective Equipment provided and must be worn.

Sensory Attention:

  • Attention to detailed drawings relating to the product being manufactured.
  • Constant awareness that manufacturing processes meet customer specifications.
  • Industrial environment with many different processes/manufacturing occurring throughout the building; constant awareness towards safety measures at all times.

  • Pressure to meet timelines/ deadlines
  • Pressure to perform at maximum potential to meet Quality Assurance Standards.
