Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare Inc is creating a new service line to help supply high quality primary medical care and support to our clients. We are looking for a seasoned part-timeFamily Nurse Practitioner who shares our passion and can partner with us as we develop this new division of care designed to address the immediate primary healthcare needs of our clients.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Provides and manages direct patient care including physical examinations evaluations assessments promoting health providing disease prevention diagnoses and treatments.
  • Communicates with patients regarding test results follow-up care and additional information.
  • Supports integrated healthcare involving Southwesterns behavioral health providers.
  • Consults with psychiatrists patients their families other medical professionals and appropriate professional personnel to interpret clinical findings when necessary.
  • Writes prescriptions and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise protocols and available equipment.
  • Explains medication effects and side-effects to patients.
  • Participates in quality assurance and improvement activities.
  • Provides services under the direction and supervision of assigned primary care physician (collaborative agreement.)
  • Helps to develop new model of care within Southwesterns family of services.

Other duties:

  • Completes documentation and billing according to Southwestern policies and procedures.
  • Obtains and maintains certification for all billing services when eligible.


Qualifications

WHATS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

  • Masters degree in nursing from an accredited program required.
  • Valid current registration / license in Nursing by the State of Indiana required.
  • Must have prescriptive authority including DEA licensure by the state of Indiana.
  • Solid clinical and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication and problem- solvingskills required.
  • Experience with MS Office applications.
  • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks sex offender registry check and drug screen.
