Job Description
Role Mission
Within the Controlling Team for Northern and Central Europe the Financial Controlling Specialist will play a key role in the financial controlling planning and internal control activities for the retail companies based across the area.
There will be a strong link with the Regional Finance Accounting and Operations teams.
Key Accountabilities
- Completion of the Month End Closure activities and preparation of the Month End Reporting Packages for the Divisional Finance Department.
- Support the preparation of Budget and Forecasts including the submission of the required data and analysis and explanation of most important variances versus the comparable scenarios.
- Capex control and follow up.
- Preparation monthly profit and loss for the retail entities in scope and related variance analysis for the regional finance team.
- Provide support in the balance sheet review and related variance analysis for the regional finance team.
- Preparation of monthly reporting for the retail managers across the Markets and for the operational teams such as Facilities Security HR and Communications to ensure costs control across the company.
- Provide support during Tax audits.
- Be involved the and play an active role in the preparation of the Statutory Financial Statements and during the annual external audit process.
- Review the companys accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
- Be responsible for the preparation of the periodical turnover certificates.
- Preparation of monthly data for Office of National Statistics.
- Deal with ad hoc divisional and operational queries on finance related matters and develop ad hoc analysis for the business.
Key Requirements
- Previous 5 years of working experience in the Finance Accounting & Control department of multinational company or consulting firm.
- Masters Degree in Business Administration Economics or Finance.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Strong team-working skills.
- Detail oriented and extreme accuracy.
- Experience in using of Windows Excel and BI tools to monitor performances and KPI.
- Experience in using SAP is a plus.
- Experience in retail industry would be a plus.
- Fluent in Italian and English knowledge of French is a plus.
