People & Culture Manager

MADEC is seeking an experienced and values-driven People & Culture Manager to lead our workforce strategy and embed a high-performing people-first culture across the organisation.
This is a senior leadership role where youll balance strategic workforce planning with hands-on HR leadership supporting leaders developing people capability and ensuring safe compliant and psychologically healthy workplaces across disability and youth services.
About the Role
As the People & Culture Manager you will:
- Lead end-to-end HR and workforce management including recruitment performance employee relations investigations and workforce planning.
- Develop and implement MADECs People & Culture Strategy aligned to organisational goals and values.
- Drive initiatives that attract engage and retain a capable and committed workforce.
- Embed a strong Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and positive organisational culture.
- Oversee workers compensation and return-to-work processes.
- Partner with leaders to build capability accountability and psychologically safe teams.
- Lead organisational learning and development working closely with the Strategic Quality Manager.
- Actively contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team supporting strategy governance and performance.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation industrial relations requirements and best practice HR frameworks.
- Champion human rights safeguarding wellbeing and continuous improvement.
About You
Youre a confident HR leader who understands the realities of frontline community services and knows how to balance compassion with accountability.
Youll bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources (or similar)
- Experience leading HR functions within community services disability youth or similar sectors.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation performance management investigations and workforce risk.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence at executive and frontline levels.
- A values-led pragmatic approach to people leadership.
- Excellent communication judgement and decision-making skills.
- Experience in NDIS HSQF or regulated human services environments will be highly regarded.
