Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Game Level Designer to join our development team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in core gameplay-driven level design with a proven ability to craft immersive balanced and performance-optimized levels aligned with the games vision and mechanics.
Responsibilities
Design prototype and implement high-quality game levels that support core gameplay mechanics narrative flow pacing and player engagement.
Translate GDDs gameplay systems and design pillars into functional and immersive levels.
Block out levels using greyboxing/whiteboxing techniques and iterate through playtesting and feedback.
Ensure gameplay balance difficulty progression player guidance and clear visual language across levels.
Collaborate closely with Artists VFX SFX and tech teams to align gameplay with visual and technical constraints.
Optimize levels for performance memory usage and scalability across target platforms.
Conduct regular playtests analyze player behavior and refine levels based on data and qualitative feedback.
Document level design workflows layouts logic and best practices for internal alignment.
Support QA in identifying and resolving level-specific bugs exploits and flow issues.
Requirements
5 years of professional experience in a core game level design role (PC/Console preferred).
Strong understanding of gameplay systems player psychology pacing and progression design.
Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine (Blueprints knowledge is a strong plus).
Proven ability to create playable balanced and engaging levels not just visual environments.
Experience working with modular assets collision navigation triggers and gameplay scripting.
Strong problem-solving skills with a player-first mindset.
Ability to work independently in a contractual / milestone-driven setup.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
