Job Summary
Prep Assistant
Large multi-campus Christian school
Traralgon locationPart-time position
Semester 1 each year (16 hours/week over 4 days)
Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.
Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian doing this we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study careers service and life in general.
We are currently seeking the services of a dedicated Prep Assistant to commence in February this year at our Traralgon campus. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a caring Christian environment and provide important assistance to the students and teaching staff in delivering high-quality care and Christian education to students requiring support for their specific learning needs.Some key responsibilities will include:
Providing a godly example to students and fellow staff members through their practice manner relationships and general lifestyle
Assisting the teacher with implementation of the daily program
Supervising assisting and supporting students
Replenishing supplies and assisting with tidying of the classroom
Modelling the teachers example for behaviour management
Developing and maintaining an open and friendly rapport with parents
Providing general support to the teacher in the classroom
The successful candidate will have the following:
Demonstrated commitment to the schools Statement of Faith
Experience in a similar position (desirable)
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Capacity to accept direction but also to use initiative when appropriate
Confidence to supervise assist and support students
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
