Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist you will be a central figure in our diagnostic imaging team expertly performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans to produce precise images critical for patient diagnosis and treatment planning.

Every day you will meticulously position patients operate advanced MRI scanning equipment according to physician orders and established protocols and administer contrast media safely and effectively. You will also provide essential patient education and psychological support monitor patient conditions closely during scans maintain meticulous records and perform daily quality assurance checks on equipment all while strictly adhering to crucial MRI safety guidelines and regulatory standards.

To be successful in this role you will combine a nationally recognized certification/licensure in Radiologic Technology (ARRT) specialized advanced certification in MRI and a profound understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI physics.

  • Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age-specific data.
  • Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care.
  • Maintains current BLS and CRT.
  • Effectively coordinates patient care with physicians and other disciplines involved.
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow patient safety guidelines including procedure pause and dual methods of identification.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of MRI safety precautions for both patient and hospital personal.

Job Requirements

  • At least one-year full time MRI specific work experience in an acute care environment.
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • AHA Basic Life Support - CPR
