The Data Services team supports a modern suite of cloud-based technologiesincluding Looker Snowflake Atlan and Matillionhosted in AWS. These tools form the foundation of EFMs data ecosystem enabling smarter decision-making and scalable growth across the organization.

As anEngineer 2 (Data)youll design build and maintain robust data pipelines and integration solutions that ensure seamless data flow across systems. Youll develop and optimize scalable ETL/ELT processesdriving innovation and pushing the business forward.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to create and maintain source-to-target mapping and detailed ELT documentation
• Skilled in data analysis mapping and troubleshooting across all stages of the ELT process
• Ability to provide accurate estimates for ELT tasks and recommend process improvements
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to both collaborate in a team-oriented environment and work independently with direction
• Willingness to participate in production on-call support rotation for ETL processing
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g. GitHub Actions Azure DevOps)

Required:

• Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• Must reside in St. Louis Missouri or immediate surrounding area
• 3 years of hands-on experience with ETL for data integration and transformation
• 3 years of experience writing and tuning complex SQLs stored procedures triggers functions and error trapping
• 3 years of experiencein full lifecycle development and end-to-end testingand data validation
• Experience with Matillion platform
• Strong experience with AWS services including Lambda functions and data pipeline orchestration
• Proven experience implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) strategies
• Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Computer Information Systems Management Information Systems Engineering or related field
• Experience with unit testing for ETL/ELT pipelines and data quality frameworks
• Strong ability to write complex queries and optimize for large-scale datasets
• Experience with job optimization and integration with CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead small projects
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with DevOps principles
