Job Description Summary
The North America Region Leader is responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of a large fleet of wind turbines under multi-year service contracts across the United States and Canada. The Region Leader will ensure the highest standards of safety quality and operational excellence in the execution of all service activities driving customer satisfaction and achieving demanding business targets.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Contract Management
- Safety & Quality Leadership:Champion a zero-fatality safety culture and maintain the highest quality standards for all maintenance troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Contract Execution:Oversee the successful and profitable execution of multi-year service agreements ensuring compliance with contractual obligations includingAvailability Guaranteesand performance metrics.
- Service Delivery:Direct and manage all aspects of wind turbine service including:
- Planned Maintenance (PM)and scheduled inspections.
- Troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
- Major component repairsand replacements (e.g. gearboxes generators blades).
- Transactional/Upgrades Executionaligned to region targets for work outside of contractual scope and fleet.
- Efficiency:Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency reduce operational costs and maximize turbine uptime.
Financial and Commercial Performance
- Budget Management:Responsibility for the regional service business including developing managing and achieving annual operating budgets.
- Target Achievement:Meet or exceed aggressive performance targets for.
- Operational Availabilityof the contracted fleet.
- Financial Budgetadherence (cost control).
- Transactional Sales(non-contracted services upgrades and spot work).
- Commercial Strategy:Work closely with the Sales and Commercial teams to support the negotiation renewal and expansion of service contracts.
Leadership and People Management
- Advanced Leadership:Provide inspiring and decisive leadership to a large geographically dispersed team of employees and contractors including field technicians site managers and administrative staff.
- Talent Development:Focus on the recruitment training development and retention of a highly skilled and safety-conscious workforce.
- Performance Management:Establish clear performance goals conduct regular reviews and foster a culture of accountability and high performance.
Stakeholder Management and Industry Influence
- Customer Relationships:Build and maintainstrong high-level relationshipswith key customers (asset owners utilities independent power producers) across all countries in the region acting as the primary executive point of contact for service matters.
- Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all operations comply with local country-specific environmental health safety and labor regulations.
- Industry Influence:Develop and leverage relationships within the broader wind energy industry including suppliers governmental bodies and industry associations to advance the companys position and influence regional standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from accredited university or college in a relevant discipline.
- 10 years experience in wind energy services power generation or industrial field services operations within the energy sector including multisite service delivery.
- 8 years of senior leadership experience leading direct and matrixed teams of employees and contractors in a regional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of operations and contractual services execution including P&L ownership budgeting/forecasting availability guarantees/SLA performance management transactional services (upgrades/spot work) and EHS/regulatory compliance.
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong people leader with a track record of managing diverse geographically dispersed teams.
- Executive communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging asset owners utilities and IPPs at senior levels.
- Strong contractual/legal understanding of large energy equipment contracting Services and Aftermarket including availability guarantees and remedies.
- Broad understanding of energy markets construction/logistics and project financing; commercially savvy in renewals and expansions.
- Ability to operate in a fastpaced demanding commercial environment with multiple deals in process.
- LEAN/continuous improvement mindset; datadriven decisionmaking using O&M analytics fleet performance dashboards and productivity tools.
- Ability to anticipate identify and resolve complex operational issues (e.g. major component exchanges grid/site constraints severeweather recovery).
- Culture shaper and builder; drives a positive teaming safetyfirst environment.
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $232000 and $348000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.
