Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Shift Schedule: 410s Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday
Shift Time: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM
Compensation
Weekly Gross Pay: $2200 $2660
Job Overview
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care ensure patient safety and collaborate closely with the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Pre-Operative Care
Prepare patients for surgery including starting IVs and reviewing lab results
Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and expectations
Post-Operative Care
Monitor vital signs and patient recovery
Manage pain and administer medications as ordered
Perform wound and drain care and monitor for complications
Patient Education
Provide discharge instructions medication education and follow-up care guidance
Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with surgeons anesthesiologists and multidisciplinary teams
Accurately document patient assessments treatments and progress in the medical record
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent surgical nursing experience
Active New York State RN license
BLS certification required
