Product Designer - Data Systems Analyst / Data Integration Specialist

Role Summary
This role focuses on designing and supporting data systems that integrate with upstream platforms digital channels and merchant services. The candidate will work closely with the Fraud and Analytics team to ensure data integrity contract compliance and effective documentation. The position requires strong analytical skills technical proficiency and domain understanding of financial services and fraud detection.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with upstream systems digital platforms and merchant services to ensure seamless data integration.
- Partner with the Fraud and Analytics team to support risk mitigation and data-driven insights.
- Design and document data systems including source-to-target mapping and data contracts ensuring continuity and compliance with existing agreements.
- Maintain and enhance Swagger/OpenAPI documentation for APIs to ensure clarity and usability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues including implementing robust error-handling strategies.
- Perform data analysis to support business needs (query optimization is not a core requirement).
Technical Skills
- Data Modeling & Mapping: Experience in designing source-to-target mappings and managing data contracts.
- API Documentation: Proficiency in Swagger/OpenAPI for documenting and testing APIs.
- Error Handling: Strong understanding of exception handling and issue resolution in data pipelines.
- Data Analysis: Ability to interpret and analyze data sets to support business decisions.
- Tools & Technologies:
- SQL (basic to intermediate)
- RESTful APIs
- Swagger/OpenAPI
- JSON/XML
- Data integration tools (e.g. Informatica Talend or similar)
- Version control systems (e.g. Git)
Domain Knowledge
- Financial Services: Understanding of banking systems digital payments and merchant ecosystems.
- Fraud Detection & Analytics: Familiarity with fraud prevention strategies data patterns and analytics used in risk management.
- Data Governance: Awareness of data contracts compliance and the impact of changes on existing systems and stakeholders.
