Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with at least 5 years of hands-on machining experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in operating setting up and programming CNC equipment with a strong understanding of precision machining quality standards and safety protocols. This role requires attention to detail problem-solving abilities and a commitment to producing high-quality parts consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Set up operate and monitor CNC machines (mills lathes or multi-axis equipment depending on department needs).
Read interpret and work from technical drawings blueprints and CAD/CAM files.
Perform machine offsets tool changes and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
Program CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM software (Mastercam Fusion 360 or similar).
Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools (calipers micrometers height gauges etc.).
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure efficient operation.
Identify non-conformances and troubleshoot machining issues to improve process reliability.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed including setup sheets and production logs.
Collaborate with engineering quality control and production teams to meet job requirements.
Follow all company safety guidelines and maintain a clean organized work area.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience required.
Strong knowledge of machining processes materials and tooling.
Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and GD&T.
Proficiency with CNC programming (conversational and/or CAM-based).
Experience with quality control inspection and measurement tools.
Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances on precision components.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
