Job Summary

Cincinnati Country Day School is seeking applicants for a full-time position teaching math to begin August 2026. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic student-centered educator whose passion and expertise as a lifelong learner is modeled as a way to inspire and engage CCDS math curriculum is focused on helping students to:Develop a deep mathematical understanding of why mathematical ideas work and how they connect across topics such as algebra geometry functions and modeling. Cultivate reasoning sense-making and the ability to justify procedural fluency and apply mathematics to real-world the six major conceptual areas of math (number & quantity algebra functions modeling geometry and statistics & probability) to prepare students for college mathematics technical fields and informed citizenship. Qualifications:BS in math or related field with an advanced degree preferredBesides helping the school and department meet its mission the candidate should also have enthusiasm for teaching experience with high school age students and a willingness to explore new methodologies and technologies for instructionComputer literacy and proficiency experience with technology in the classroom and ability to effectively utilize a learning management systemTeaching Expectations:The teacher will join a congenial and collegial department consisting of five faculty members while being supervised and supported by the math department chair and the head of upper School. Specific responsibilities for this position include:Teaching four sections of math based on enrollment and the teaching needs of the academic support for students outside of class time during office and participating actively in the work of the math department on best practices in curriculum development pedagogy and participating in the life of the school to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of innovative research-informed teaching Expectations:Contribute as an engaged collaborative community member both within and across departmentsServe as an advisor to approximately 10 studentsServe on ad hoc committees as neededParticipate in community events including but not limited to several evening or weekend eventsCarry out other duties as assignedApplication:To apply please submit a resume cover letter and contact list of three professional references in PDF format to
