Job Summary

JOB TITLE: Environmental Services Technician

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The Environmental Services Technician cleans and disinfects patient and non-patient care areas and removes refuse materials along with the replacement of expandable supplies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Cleans and disinfectants patient and non-patient care areas
Removes refuse materials and replacement of expendable supplies
Stocks areas as appropriate
Operate floor equipment
Regular and prompt work-site attendance
Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
Ability to relate and work effectively with others
Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement
Previous experience in cleaning/floor maintenance in a hospital environment is preferred
Is aware of professional standards and performs in accordance with them
