In deal valuation at PwC you will focus on providing analysis and valuation services for mergers acquisitions and other financial transactions. You will help clients make informed decisions by assessing the worth and potential risks of various deals.

Focused on relationships you are building meaningful client connections and learning how to manage and inspire others. Navigating increasingly complex situations you are growing your personal brand deepening technical expertise and awareness of your strengths. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients and to deliver quality. About the role

We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to focus onTangible Assets/Capital Equipment valuations (which may include plant machinery and equipment shipping aviation and other types of tangibleassets). ataSenior Associate level.

The role would provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to work on a range of client engagements and alongside other individuals with a range of deal related skills and experience.

Whilstthe majority ofthe existing team are based inKolkata(which would be our preferred primary working location for the individual) there is some flexibility with respect tolocationand the successful candidate would have scope to base themselves in other PwCACoffices if they prefer.

Responsibilities

You will be active across all areas of our work and with exposure to clients and their advisorsin order tosupport and develop our provision of advice to external and internal clients.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Performing valuation analysis which is likely to include the analysis of large data sets and building valuation models either in excel or using other data analytical tools;

  • Carrying-outthe reviews of asset valuations in support of audit taxdisputeor transaction purposes;

  • Preparation andpresentation of reports and outlining our approachassumptionsand conclusions;

  • Working across a broad range of tangible asset categories and types;

  • Liaising directly withengagement teamsand other advisors on projects;

  • Operating alongside other PwC valuations teams as well as other teams such as corporate finance audit due diligencetaxor business valuations);

  • Performing industry or company specific research;

  • Supporting and working alongside other seniorengagementteam members in the development of new business in the sector including preparation of proposals and pitches attendance at presentations thought leadership andidentifyingopportunities to add value for existing client engagements.

Skills and Experience

  • Practical advisory experience intangible assets/capital equipment valuations;

  • Good knowledge oftangible assets/capital equipment markets;

  • Excellent dataanalyticsand financial modeling skills (for example using Microsoft Excel and preferably with other data analytical packages such as Alteryx Tableau or Power BI);

  • Proven ability to deliver high quality written outputs (professional verbal and written English)

  • An analytical mindset;

  • Ability to work effectively in teams and to tight deadlines;and

  • High levelof attention to detail;

In addition the following experience would also be preferable:

  • 2to 4years experiencein performingtangible assets/capital equipmentvaluations. Preferencewould be given to candidates withtangible assets/capital equipmentvaluationsexperience however candidates withexperience in asset management andvarious engineering fields such as civilmechanical chemicalelectrical/electronics etc. would also beconsidered.

  • Bachelors degree in Engineeringand preferably a Masters /Postgraduate qualification in Finance / Management.

  • Other fields of study thatprovidesa solid foundation of asset management fundamentals would also be considered.
