Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cell culture of humans and mouse cells
- Cell toxicity and cell viability tests
- WB and qPCR analyses
- Immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry techniques
- Microscopy and image analyses
- FAC sorting
- Animal experimentation with mouse models
- Co-supervision of undergraduate masters or doctoral students.
- Writing scientific papers and disseminating project results
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
- Must be in possession of doctoral degree at the call deadline (5thMarch 2026).
- Nationality: Any.
- Priority will be given to candidates with an outstanding record of research achievements and publications.
- Experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques is required.
- Proven experience with animal modelling handling (mouse) is required.
- Experience in application and writing of articles and research projects will be a plus.
- We are looking for talented innovative and hard-working young scientists who are highly motivated to do research in the field of neuromuscular diseases.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) will be a plus.

About us
The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.
The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus working in close collaboration with the other centres.
