Job Summary
SUMMARY
Under general supervision the Senior Driver operates a company vehicle to transport materials merchandise or equipment within an industrial area.
JOB DUTIES
- Operates company vehicle to pick up and deliver local orders and equipment as required.
- Coordinates the loading or unloading of trucks.
- Prepares receipts and verifying orders.
- Ensures vehicle and equipment are clean safe and kept in working order.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES
- Ability to read and interpret delivery instructions.
- Ability to document any information obtained from customer during delivery.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Strong efficiency and time management skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to move up to 100lbs and lift to 50 lbs.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid drivers license and annual review of driving record.
- Road test is required upon hire. All company vehicles are subject to continuous video monitoring.
- Internal training and certifications required upon hire.
- Medical Card / DOT Physical.
- May be required to earn safety certifications for specific customers.
- Must comply with applicable federal DOT guidelines.
