Please find out more about our world leading technology at will be part of the Hitachi Energy HVDC C&C Installation Department which is responsible for maintenance troubleshooting and technical support for our installed base of HVDC Valves worldwide. The department also supports engineering and development teams with feedback from the field to continuously improve our products and solutions.

As HVDC Valve Maintenance Specialist you will primarily work from our office as the first point of contact for technical issues related to HVDC Valves and Valve Cooling systems. You will provide expert-level support to customers and field teams and occasionally travel to site for complex fault investigations and critical maintenance activities.

How you will make an impact

• Act as the primary technical contact for troubleshooting and problem resolution on HVDC Valves and Valve Cooling systems
• Provide advanced support and guidance to field engineers and customers to ensure timely and effective solutions
• Analyze complex faults and propose corrective actions including mechanical replacements and water system interventions
• Prepare and review technical documentation maintenance procedures and reports for global projects
• Occasionally travel to site to lead or support major fault investigations and critical maintenance operations
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to feed back field experience and contribute to product improvements
• Ensure all activities comply with safety quality and contractual requirements

Your background

• You have a technical education preferably with a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Extensive experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of complex electrical and mechanical systems is required
• Proven track record of working with HVDC Valves or similar high-voltage equipment is highly advantageous
• Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues under time pressure
• Previous experience in customer support or technical advisory roles is a plus
• Proficiency in English is a must written and spoken alike whereas additional languages are a plus
