DescriptionThe Missionary Department is seeking for a Shuttle Service Driver to join its team at the New Zealand Missionary Training Centre (MTC).This is a permanent full-time position working 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday and will work under the supervision of the MTC Supervisor.
This role provides an executive-level transportation service that supports missionaries in fulfilling their purpose by ensuring high standards of trust safety punctuality and efficiency. The position also includes basic routine vehicle maintenance.
ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a passenger vehicle following all driving regulations and instructions
Transport passengers along scheduled routes while adhering to established timetables
Ensure the safety of all passengers and comply with all land transport laws
Support missionary arrival processes documentation and assistance with lost or damaged airline luggage
Maintain accurate records of missionary transport routes covered and trips completed
Complete routine safety and operational inspections in line with the Daily Vehicle Inspection Report reporting defects or repair needs to the supervisor
Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g. oil changes brake adjustments identifying tyre or engine issues)
Maintain appropriate temperature ventilation and lighting within the vehicle
Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and presentable at all times
QualificationsHigh school education or equivalent with four years of experience driving executive passenger vehicles
Basic knowledge of auto mechanics
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
Completion of a defensive driving course (preferred)
Ability to follow directions maps and route instructions
High regard for the care and stewardship of Church vehicles and equipment
Good physical health and vision; ability to lift heavy objects
Basic reading and numeracy skills with good communication ability in English
